Welcome to the Yellow Wallpaper
by
Gunpowder and Muffin
Gunpowder and Muffin — the paradox I carry within: strength that simmers beneath gentleness, fire wrapped in softness. I speak not often, but when I do, it’s with care and clarity — mostly among those who’ve wandered close enough to hear the quiet.
This space is a reflection of me. I’ve always loved yellow — not the bold kind that shouts, but the warm, glowing hue that lingers in the corners of a morning or hides in a wildflower by the river. It reminds me of silence that sings, of freedom that doesn’t need permission. Nature is where I breathe best. I write of plays and poetry, of things felt but rarely said aloud. I teach drama not just to bring scripts to life, but to awaken the voice in those still learning how to speak through their stories.
And here, in this quiet corner of the internet, I gather those fragments of thought, of performance, of poetry — and let them rest beside one another. Welcome to the in-between.

Humble Me
Get to Know Me!
Hey there! I’m Dina — welcome to my little corner of the internet.
Born in the vibrant '80s and now cruising through my fabulous 40s, I’m a classic Virgo: an overthinker with a love-hate relationship with procrastination. I have a passion for hiking and travelling, though life’s daily grind doesn’t always leave much room for adventure.
This blog is my cosy sanctuary — a space where I pour my thoughts, share my stories, and be me.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been teaching drama. No, I’m not a professional actress or stage performer — just someone who finds pure joy in the magic of theatre and the performing arts.
In my downtime, I’m all about good coffee, great movies, music that moves me, thought-provoking podcasts, and above all, getting lost in the pages of a good fiction book.
So grab your favourite drink, make yourself comfy, and join me as I reflect, ramble, and hopefully connect — one post at a time. I’m delighted you’re here.

This timeline represents the drama performances I’ve had the joy of producing with my students over the years. Each one tells its own story — filled with energy, creativity, and unforgettable moments.
I’ve cherished every step of the journey with them — the rehearsals, the laughter, the challenges, and the small victories along the way. These are moments that may never happen again, which makes them all the more meaningful.
More than just a record of events, this timeline reflects my dedication, my hard work, and most importantly, the deep sense of trust and pride I feel for my students.
I also had the opportunity to contribute to a drama anthology titled Sepuluh Kisah Mencari Drama. The title of the play is Sulung. It may not be much, but it brings me joy and pride. I truly hope this book won’t be the only one I write.

The Process
Voice. Vision. Vulnerability.
Here’s a sneak peek into some moments from the preparation process and performances of our Drama Productions. I have plenty of photos, so I’ll be updating this collection from time to time.
